Love the Scream franchise, was so excited when you and Chelsea made the cameo in Scream 5, pointed it out to the person I was watching it with in the theatre but they just shrugged haha

Matthew Lillard is a gem in this film, Stu's crying about his parents being mad at him was hilarious and perfect

Stu saying "I'll be right back" was honestly my favorite part of this entire movie. Mathew Lillard is hilarious

When I saw James and Chelsea in Scream V I squealed like I saw my friends on the screen. The amount of joy was incredible. I was so happy for them!

Billy and Stu was most definitely a shocker. Even if at one point people suspected either of them, it was never thought that there were 2 killers!

One thing I noticed when watching Scream was that Billy and Stu hold their knives different ways. Stu holds his in both hands over his head and Billy holds his usually in his right hand. Stu’s technique is to “Slide and Dice” as Randy said, and Billy usually goes for the stab

27:45 reminded me of an interview i saw with one of the actors (can't remember if it was Skeet Ulrich or Matthew Lillard) where he said he believes Stu and Billy were in love, and if they'd survived, they would have moved to another country to start a farm together and kill people on the weekends.

there are few theatre experiences that I can remember as clearly as watching SCREAM for the first time. I can still remember that gasps and shock from my audience when Casey’s scene ended. Back in 1996, there was no Twitter to spoil the movie. 🍿♥️🔪

Matthew Lilliard was absolutely amazing playing an unhinged character, loved it.

I used Scream as a reference for a horror gender studies project I did. I used it as the first horror movie with a final girl and a final woman. Both Gale and Sidney process the Ghostface killings very differently from one another which is why their relationship throughout the franchise is so interesting

The fact that the actors didn't get to meet voice actor of Ghostface is incredible. It makes everything so much more authentic. They legitimately didn't know who they were talking to.

I love that you not only talk about what happens in the movie, but also about the production, cast and trivia.

I would love to see a Kill Count for the TV series. I feel like it's not acknowledged enough and imo it was a pretty solid entry in the franchise

This is one of the few select movies that a Kill Count has gotten me to watch for myself, despite being a scaredy cat who cannot handle horror movies! Absolutely loved it, and James's love for the franchise is infectious. Billy and Stu were *absolutely* dating on the down-low.

Fun fact Rose McGowan (tatum) dressed herself in the movie for all her outfits, she did that because she didn't like the outfits they wanted her to wear (they wanted her to wear overalls and platform shoes and she didn't like it). Rose McGowan is not talked about enough honestly her performance in scream is so amazing and she's so charismatic.

In 1996 I walked into theater opening night barely knowing what it was gonna be, we all did, only thing we knew was it was gonna be horror and drew barrymore was gonna be the star, so seeing her brutally killed in the opening really set the tone, nobody knew which direction it was gonna, whether the killer was a supernatural killer like jason, freddy etc or a crazed human serial killer, going in we all knew only one thing and that was it gonna be something unique. Nobody knew anything while watching the movie first time viewing. And i really miss those days. Nowdays the trailers give out everything, or people spoil shit, heck even ppl that give theories and dont spoil but just pick apart rumors and trailers can even ruin the movie. I miss the days nobody could analyze shit and theres no leaks or spoilers, you just go into a movie with barely any info but know your gonna get hooked right in.

I’ve watched scream so many times that every line and scene is ingrained in my mind, and it still doesn’t get old. Fucking classic.

I actually really like these Recounts because they give so much more than just the kills and I cannot wait to see the Recounts for the rest of the Scream series!!!

This movie came out my first year of high school and it's so amazing to me how 23 years after graduating, the Scream franchise is such a big part of so many of my high school year memories!

The woman who plays Drew Barrymore's mother lets out an absolutely epic scream in that opening scene.

I love Scream mainly because it's a fun mix of comedy and horror, it's one thing to have a good laugh every now and then but quickly and suddenly it reminds you that Scream is in fact a horror film

Few more things to note that deserves recognition is the soundtrack in the credits literally y'all have to just listen through the credits till the very end these songs are something else, they literally breathe life into this movie truly just as much as James breathes life into these kill counts

Honestly Courtney Cox deserves so much more praise by the mainstream world for how amazing she is in these films

I honestly think one of my favorite parts of this movie, at least in terms of the greatness of simple face acting, is when Gale's re-gale-ing Kenny with the idea of Cotton being innocent, and Kenny has that little smile of "Oh, hey, maybe she's not so bad!"
And then the whole, "Do you KNOW what that could do for my book sales?!" followed by Kenny's poor little 😟 face.

These recounts are so amazing you have truly perfected your art. Condensing things down that would take hours for me to watch into 20 + minutes. Like James says be good people guys who knows what tomorrow brings

I love Matthew Lillard in this movie. I recall watching the movie once with the commentary playing and there was a moment where Kevin Williamson mentioned how his performance actually added a lot to Stu's character because there wasn't really all that much to him in the original script.

I watched the Scream movies for the first time literally last week and came to watch the Kill counts after. I was disappointed as they were old videos from before James provided behind the scenes information. I knew they’d be recounted at some point but didn’t expect it this soon! Love it when little things like that happen in life.

Me and my best friend binged all the films before 6. It was both of our first times and we had a blast through every film. We’re now Scream super fans. Convenient that it was during the time you were recounting. Thanks for guiding us til VI.

Funworld is amazing for letting them use the mask without much hassle. Many Scream fans love Ghostface mask. The combination of characters into 1 is what I find interesting.

The entire ending of the film from the "killer(s) revealed" scene through the death of Stu and Billy is one of the best endings of any movie ever. Stu and Billy's acting are truly bone chilling and it was a tortuous few minutes to live through in the best way possible

This movie came out the year I was born and while it wasn’t the first scary movie I saw (Jaws when I was 3 years old), it was the movie that spurred my love of the genre.

I love how much Dead Meat makes every video their own original video and not make it feel like your watching the same one over and over again.

In regards to the brothers who produced this film, I feel the same way about them in their connection to my favorite movie trilogy.

Recently watched the Scream movies for the first time recently this week and I loved them. Better late than never. ❤😊
