In the past they used to thank the other player for the game and shake hands at the net before coaches or fans. Respecting and acknowledging their opponents for their efforts first is more important than their coaches imo.
@Eco Friendly I agree. That should be the norm. My comment was more focused on HOW she thanked her coach. Some players thank their coach in a subtle way. But with what ASY did, it felt like (well for me) her thank you was "I couldn't have done without you" kind of thanks.
Congrats to ASY! Chen was too relaxed today. It was a close match and could have gone either way.
Two outstanding, hard fought wins on consecutive days against top players. Along with Yama, top 4 are all great players. Super effort.👍

The performance from ASY was awesome this week. What a way to finish the match also.. placement and power to cancel CYF defensive stance, she did not saw that one coming.

I'm not sure about your comment. Chen changed her normal style by attacking a lot more probably her coach and her knew her defense may not be as good as An
@Qidong Xu CYF doesn't focus on AZY's fatigue in the first game and play faster to push. She is slow to help the latter warm-up and recovery.

Probaly sure you dont even know how different it is in a sport when you re 18 and 28, Especially on the highest level of tournament. Did you ever see some other woman sustains her name on 1st ranking board as long as TTY? ChenYuFei? Yamaguchi? Akane? When TTY was younger and in her prime, she won all of them with no struggle, An se young is on the way of getting it but Chenyufei, I dont think so.
@Long Trần I'm not a TTY hater. She is the most exciting player to watch even at 28. I was happy and rooting for her when she stopped the Chinese dominance in WS when she was young . Just I hate to see Taiwaneses keep finding excuses for her when she lost and not giving credit to her opponents at all
