Best if RoI leaves the EU. They''ll be a net contributor soon to the EU and will also have to give up all those nice tech industry tax breaks when the EU harmonizes the tax regs and they won't like that. I suggest a referendum...you know...the best of 3.
What if we just don't enforce our boarders?
Can you do a 1-30-2020 update on BREXIT.
Well, now the Brits are definitely leaving. But this wall-triangle video gets to the heart of the matter--WE STILL DON'T KNOW WHAT JOHNSON WILL DO. Will it be max Brexit with a hard wall going through the island of Ireland or a hard wall disconnecting Northern Ireland from the rest of the UK? Or will it be a squishy compromise with no hard wall, but paraded around as max Brexit? We still don't know...
I KNOW THE ANSWER! you just gotta annex Ireland.
Once long ago (150yrs at least), it could have worked.
Jack Mintz That’s a stupid idea.
Works for the USA
Well, theoretically, there is the option of Ireland rejoining the UK and also leaving the EU. Obviously, this is the least useful and intelligent option by far, but it's existent, even though it will never happen.
Will you revisit this topic again?
Writing from the 24th of January 2020: The UK chose the 3rd option (there will be a border between the UK and NI). Northern Ireland will probably stay in the EU, or the entire UK will stay in the EU. From the 1st of Fabruary, the real Brexit clock will start to tick... Tick Tock. The UK will have 7 months to make a real Brexit deal (the entire UK staying in the EU, but without a say on policies). If the UK doesn't do it, it can postpone it (which means the UK is staying in the EU, but without a say on policies), or Northern Ireland stays in the EU while the rest of the UK goes to the WTO rules (where other countries, including the USA will go to the WTO court for a case against the UK).
Maybe you can say something about "Megxit"
lol why you always my last option to understand something.thanks a lot this video help me alot as usual.
I feel like we need another on of these
With actual Brexit like a couple weeks away is there going to be an update?
What if Ireland just united (sarcasm)
UK left a long time ago. And support for it has only grown. The politicians have been behind the impetous to stay. The politicians in the EU, and the politicians in the EU's pocket. It is termendously dishonest to depict this like it was the british dithering.
They are still in the single market and abiding by EU rules.
@Neven Tomičić How is this a "Nope"?
Nope. Writing from the 24th of January 2020: The UK chose the 3rd option (there will be a border between the UK and NI). Time to re-revisit this?
Have you ever heard of have you ever heard of Gibraltar
Hey! Whats going on with brexit?
There is a way, go conquer Ireland
Solution: *TAKE BACK IRELAND*in the distance, horrified gaelic screaming is heard. A car bomb goes off.
🚫 Brexit 🚫
how was this posted 10 months ago? HOW WAS THIS POSTED TEN T-E-N MONTHS AGO???
Why don't you just join???
Used to be conqueror of worlds, can't conquer a neighbor island nowadays. How time has changed.
Can't even controle their own goverment and borders, even with brexit. How the mighty have fallen.
Brexit: Still one of the most shit-tasticly irresponsible things Consies have ever pulled.
I think the media on both sides lying about what would actualy happen is what realy fucked things up, if people can't trust the media they will go what seems right, I feel bad for the nationalists because everything they wanted won't come with brexit.
Compromise: leaves everybody disgruntled. Kinda true tho
Not a triangle actually; more of a square :p .>Dislikes Video for factual inaccuracy
Another Brexit video is needed as it seems that max Brexit will occur in 2020.
Then northern ireland will rejoin actual ireland.
Free Ireland !!! 32
Ironically since Germany reunited and got control of the EU because it was now the biggest founding member, the Berlin wall now under German control, went around Europe the EU explained
@Rick 1974 that was the European economic community, and we still got thrown in without a vote, this was the vote to leave, the eec that we never voted to join in the first place. Just like the EU we never got a vote to join!
@Rick 1974 yet their leader appoints the top jobs of the EU, without asking the people in a vote
@Steven True Germany does not control a majority of the votes.
@Steven True Are you kidding me? You had one in 1975.en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/1975_United_Kingdom_European_Communities_membership_referendum
@Rick 1974 also where was the referendum to join the EU?
Simple solution, have Germany take over all of Europe.
@Golag Is watching you I'm also, very sadly a member of the millennial generation... It constantly pisses me off having to watch my generation be whinny pampered morons all the time so assuming an "old man" would be 60 or 70+ your wrong on that front to.
@Delogros stop living in the past old man.
They kinda already did.
I'm hearing today that it's happening. Which two were picked?
@༒Gorm Auslander༒ Fine for you to say as you don't live there
Eh, They'll be fine
@༒Gorm Auslander༒ Hopefully the Ulster Scots won't mind.
That's good #MakeIrelandOneAgain
@༒Gorm Auslander༒ It makes the NI/mainland relationship more fragile so they might end up defecting to the Republic or Ireland, one way or another.
What if we include Irland into the UK wall by brewing irexit 🤔 hmmmmm😏
Very nice, good video!
the choice is obvious...Invade Ireland and annex the whole Ireland into U.K!
The simple solution is to go full Cromwell and conquer all of Ireland again
And commit genocide.
So uh we gonna get a new video before the 20th lol
I do think we need maximum brexit, there has always been a social divide between northern Ireland and the country of Ireland so why not just have a firm landborder between the two
Because that created a lot of terrorism and instability
if there's a landborder then the IRA will come along and blow up the checkpoints.but if the British dont bother enforcing the border then there's only going to be EU checkpoints to blowup...
UK can annex Ireland and get Maximum Brexit
Shut up let's just get brexit over please help me, I live in UK
Why are you telling him to stop explaining important politcal events?
FREE NORTHERN IRELAND YOU TEA DRINKING BLACK AND TANS!! COME OUT AND FIGHT ME LIKE A MAN!!
Nah, we'll annex Southern Island instead.
3:35 the easter egg
The fact that this still makes sense in 2020 is fucking stupid lmfao
What even is in northern Ireland?Oil or some shit.Unless its a raw resource I can see northern ireland secciding in the near future.
There's a much simpler solution. Just don't Brexit.
Unraveling century's old democracy is not a simpler option.
9 months later...
what if Northern Ireland stayed in the UK and in the EU still apart of the EU still apart of the UK
They should take a page from Japanese history. Let Northern Ireland be a member of *both* the United Kingdom *and* a united Ireland within the European Union, with an official policy of pretending they're only in one of them whenever one of them comes over. Like Oikinawa was with Japan and China (being both Japanese territory and kowtowing to the Chinese Emperor), or, IIRC, the island of Suo, who's ruling family owed allegiance to both Korea and Japan. The benefit to Suo and Okinawa? Getting to act as a transshipment point between the Japanese economic sphere and the Chinese economic sphere (which were officially isolated from one another due to China's policy of not allowing trade with any realm who's ruler did not acknowledge the Emperor as their superior). Even if a tariff regime were erected between the United Kingdom and the European Union, Northern Ireland would be officially exempt from it on both sides. They trade as full citizens with both sides.
At 0:01 there is a bee
A N Other Yank with his convoluted imagination of Our Ceptic Isles.
Britain: "Who's idea was this stupid wall?"Europe: ...
Britain: We dont want a wall, you can put one up if you want, but dont expect us to enforce it.Europe: But that means the only checkpoints for the IRA to blowup will be ours :OBritain: ;)
I needed this video to understand Brexit.I am from the UK. And I needed this video.
Max Brexit does not require a wall, Just like there is no wall between France and Switcherland ... so you are wrong about there not being another option
@Sir Jaojao well the USA and Canada dont have a wall between them...
That's... You really think they ment a physical wall, don't you?
I know...move Northern Ireland!
And here we are lol
For "maximum brexit" no one has said we want a border with Ireland, its only the EU that insists upon it
If there's no hard border then people can move themselves and their stuff between the UK and EU with little or no trouble.
@George LundA. Yes it doesB. Learn how a border works, if a sufficient customs agreement with signifigant parody between the two is not in place their needs to be border checks on the irish border.
@Rick 1974 it has nothing to do with economics
You really don't comprehend basic economics
Whatever happened at 3:37?
3:00 The UK has a habit of kicking things down the road for a while until their right back where they started.
What a beautiful way of explaining!
so if Ireland also leaves EU we can solve all problems
Most irish want to stay in the EU
