@RanaDeep Roy 🇮🇳 When did I discuss nomenclature of Brahmos missile? I know how Brahmos was named and it is not Mos for Moscow but the river Moskva. Aren't we discussing Tejas here?

    • RanaDeep Roy 🇮🇳
      RanaDeep Roy 🇮🇳 Tháng trước

@Annu Ranjan He is right. Check the name. Brah is from brahmaputra river and Mos from Moscow. India and Russia jointly developed this BrahMos missile, now next generation also coming with same collaboration. Hence B and H are capital in the name.

@SuMeEt SaM LOL! Wrong again.. I am from an English speaking western country. I am not a Hindu nor a Muslim nor a Christian.
I just tell it as I see it. Moody-RSS-Hindutva goal is total extermination of minority Muslim in India. He's been doing since his youth.
And when he as Chief Minister, he managed to orchestrate the massacre of 4,000 Muslims when he deliberately held back the Police
and the Army to let rampaging Hindutva mobs kill Muslims. Everyone knows this...

@TigreLoko24 Take the lessons from Roman military they were always outnumbered but they were efficient same with Alexander the Great when found the Persians he was out number but a well trained military and India's enemies are soft they are all bark and no bite. That's all India needs is 200k troops extra 100k in reserve.

    • TigreLoko24
      TigreLoko24 2 tháng trước

@Dominic Johnson India 🇮🇳 is a young nation, I understand all the problems a nation has, I said imagine if they could, not that they would or should..lol It's obviously possible, but not practical with all the issues going on right now.. India needs to keep it's military might equal to if not similar to what China has for obvious reasons.. They've bumped heads before n also with Pakistan 🇵🇰 so that's why they stay nuclear armed.. Investment in it's ppl is needed to decrease poverty n alot of other issues they have there.. Making your own jets n other stuff is expensive, reason why Mexico 🇲🇽 doesn't invest heavily their own production of jets, ships n other much needed stuff as they are lacking in all branches of their defense.. But the US 🇺🇸 doesn't want them too..lol

    • Dominic Johnson
      Dominic Johnson 2 tháng trước

@TigreLoko24 if that's the case why does India have a high poverty rate. Those numbers prove my point wasteful spending on that aircraft that will cost India's budget to burst by mass production that not even considering there are no spare parts and maintenance will be high and you can't sell it but who will be able to afford the price tag U.S doesn't want it China no Europe no cost won't go down to produce and replacement parts and it looks ugly as hellfor 4 years

Malaysia just dumped Tejas and chose Korean KA 50. This despite (1) Tejas at 1/2 the price of KA 50, (2) Tejas has 40+ years development vs the new unproven KA 50 and (3) India even threw in a deal to support Malaysia Sukhoi (critical for Malaysia as ordering Russian part is very difficult now).. And with all those "packaging", Malaysia still dumped TeJunk like a trash that it is...

    • Rosh Lew
Rosh Lew 2 tháng trước +2

After 40+years of development, 20+ years since first flight, India has only 40 LCA Tejas fighter jets in operation...🤣🤣. They are not even the frontline fighter jets for IAF, not capable enough to be stationed closed to borders with Pakistan or China.

    Australia
In 2020 the Australian Air Force announced a lead-in fighter trainer (LIFT) tender. The goal was to replace the ageing fleet of BAE Systems Hawk 127 jet trainers.
The Tejas was one of the entrants, along with the KAI T-50, the Boeing T-7A, and a number of other aircraft. BAE also entered the contest, with a proposal to refurbish the existing Hawks.
In February 2022, the results of the tender were announced. BAE won, receiving an AU$1.5 billion contract to bring Australia’s Hawks up to date with new engines and other parts, extending their lifespan to 2032.
So, as the tender is over, it appears that Australia is no longer interested in procuring the Tejas.

    • DharmicWisdom
      DharmicWisdom 2 tháng trước

Roles play a major role in winning bids. For India the equivalent of hawk to field must have been HJT36. Anyway it's always good to participate to know the nitty gritty android when the fighter/trainer requirement arises, the chance for Tejas increases manifold.

The British empire really did a number on India to put it mildly and that India is just getting started when it comes to modernizing in a quasi utopic sense as well as being a geopolitical/ economic powerhouse with high gdp per capita.

The Tejas when manufactured successfully by India was an experiment and test of it's industrial and engineering capabilities. It passed the test thoroughly and confirmed India's position as one of the few nations able to design and manufacture their own combat aircraft.
It was never supposed to be a super-cutting-edge alternative to the F-22. It is instead the most Adequate aircraft required for any combat role. It is built on efficiency and reliability. India has created the ultimate workhorse multirole aircraft for any military. The Mk-I is currently the best in class for its mission requirements, and the Mk-II will be competitive with most 4.5-5 Gen aircrafts, like the Gripen and Rafale.

It's best aircraft for himalayan region after mig29 upg and rafael aircraft of Indian airforce.. it's a multirole aircraft, so easy to combat with other aircraft, as well as destroy ground targets at the same time. It have AESA radar, capable of firing all long and short range missiles, can carry different bombs, swarm drones are underway which can also deployed by tejas, will carry most advance varient of brahmos missile ( air to ground, near hypersonic missile with speed mach 4.5) .. Tejas will work also as a mothership of loyal wingman, which can carry swarm drones, and other weapons..
And due to small size of tejas fighter jet, it's hard to identify it on radar..
Tejas mk2 will rollout this year at December 2022, or in January 2023 .. That's will be the best result of Indian defense industry for now, because Tejas mk2 will be back bone of Indian airforce, and in capability, Tejas mk2 will be double than Tejas mk1a.. Then working on UCAV ghatak( stealth bomber) , amca (5.5 generation stealth fighter jet) , tedfb( twin engine deck based aircraft, for aircraft carrier), and loyal wingman ( capable of deploying swarm drones ) is going on time.. If previous government support own companies , then we had these things already till now, but it's good, we are not too late..

It is made from 70% Indian parts. The Engines and the ejection seat are only imported
Rafale is a Medium weight fighter and it was bought to fill the time gap between Mk1A and Mk2
We will get Mk2 from 2026 Rafale is to ensure our country's safety till 2026. That is why we bought S400 too
      After 2026 we will have Mk2, Mk1A, Mk1, Su30, Rafale, Mig29, Mirage
We will get AMCA by 2030 and TEDBF by 2032
Till 2035 we will have AMCA Mk1, AMCA Mk2, TEDBF, Tejas Mk1, Tejas Mk1A, Tejas Mk2, Rafale, Su30

This is because when they buy US, Russian, or Chinese made planes, it comes with a long string of conditions..... like, support them in UN resolutions etc. as these world powers have hegemonic ideas. Indian made is better choice for these developing countries because they already support india's idea of multipolar world of peace democracy, and dialogue. So, it's as good as no strings attached.

Tejas is very similar to the Eurofighter, just lighter. I saw they are working on a mark2 with twin engine now...and I am hoping they work towards a VTOL variant!

    • DharmicWisdom
      DharmicWisdom 2 tháng trước +1

@Ricky Hunter I understand. We used harrier jump jets earlier. Now the situation for us is such that there is no need for small carriers. Everything build from now on will be bigger and bigger.. Next one is supposed to be 60000 tons. Just FYI So without the scale or need within, i doubt that we will go for such an investment for export only.. Future there may be need for marine division and miniature carriers. At that time for sure even AMCA VTOL variants could be tried.

    • Ricky Hunter
      Ricky Hunter 2 tháng trước

@DharmicWisdom While India's Navy is growing in carrier size, many nations still prefer to keep their carrier´s small in order to reduce costs on their starving populations. These are the people who would use the VSTOL aircraft in the future. Same as in the past. VSTOL has more use than just carrier decks also.

    • DharmicWisdom
      DharmicWisdom 2 tháng trước +1

Mark 2 is single engine with new engine and more weapon loadout and features. What you mentioned is the Twin Engine Deck Based Fighter being developed for the Navy for stobar capable. Then there is the stealth AMCA as well. VTOL is no more needed for the Navy as the future/current carriers will be larger and also able to do stobar operations.

    Capabilities of Tejas :
    1) Safest aircraft to fly with 0 crash or accident till now. Also the control laws make it easier for pilots to fly with better safety margins.
    2) Ability to fire weaponry from multiple countries including India, Europe, U.S, Russian and Israeli giving the buyer country with multiple options.
    3) Cheaper to procure, and maintain and much freedom to operate due to manufacturer being Indian.
    4) More Indian weapons and improvements like Astra 2, 3, Brahmos NG, Uttam AESA will be made available for the buying countries helping them to keep their Airforce modern in the long run.
    5) Easier to train young pilots who are new to fighter due to the safety and ease of operating features.
    6) Lesser fuel costs and operational costs.
    7) Technology like fly by wire, modern avionics, BVRAAM capability, air-ground-sea in flight multi role capability, AESA, Aerial refueling, Composite etc only available in medium fighters.

If I had my own personal air force I would buy as many of these as I could. If it has foldable wings you could pack a couple of them on a C-5, C-17 and maybe even on modified SSBNs if they could be launched from subs like ballistic missiles.

Korea`s T-50 is a trainer and there is a severe shortage of spare parts on the other hand Indian aviation products have terrible reputation, a south American country bought Dhurv helicopters which turned into junk after couple of years, lets us see if mark2 is any better.

I think delta wings create too much drag at subsonic where LCA's most of the jobs be done at that speed..

it is cheap, it is a Asian product, it has quality and importantly It can carry Brahmos missiles to kill Chinese ships. I would love to see this in the Philippine airforce inventory❤

But the trouble is that we have failed to curb the tendency to delay and prolong the schedule of delivery which no foreign country would tolerate. The success of Brahmos is because of Russia and not because of any honesty in the Indian Higher Management Or that of the Indian Workforce . Face the facts . The working discipline of the teachers in the Indian Government Schools and those in the Private - run Schools is a pointer and a touchstone.

I hope that India will imroved and developed more capable Fighter Jets! And also developed owned jet engines which are the heart of the aircraft, so that aircraft manufacturers like India and other countries were no longer dependent to the US or European or Russia in spare parts and technology!, So that it would be the end of western countries monopoly of cutting edge technology in defense and aerospace industry!

@JAGADISH BHATTA Exactly.. In whatever role the Tejas is employed, it's a crappy 3rd gen jet.. interceptors are supposed to be stationed close to the enemy border.. they are useless in south India. This shows IAF has no confidence in Tejas ability to handle enemy aircraft.

    • JAGADISH BHATTA
      JAGADISH BHATTA 2 tháng trước

      @Rosh Lew
Tejas mk1 is a interceptor like mig21s they are made to replace mig21s and not a frontline fighter for attack purpose. It is a small fighter jet with less fuel capacity its major role is to defend Rafael is a medium category jet fighter for offensive purpose Su 30mki is a air superiority fighter you see all of them have different purpose
HAL is now developing Tejas mk2 which will be in a similar category to fighter jets like f16, Saab gripen and are made for offensive roles. But hey if you don't agree with me then it's ok

    • Rosh Lew
Rosh Lew 2 tháng trước +1

@JAGADISH BHATTA of course 😏HAL will say anything..🤣 even IAF don't believe them.. the proof of pudding is in the eating.. LCA was originally designed in the 1980s to replace mig21s which were 2nd gen fighters, and to match Mirage fighters which were 3rd gen fighters.. if Tejas was really 4.5 gen fighters, IAF wouldn't have bought the expensive Rafael jets or keep buying the 4th gen Su30 jets..

    • JAGADISH BHATTA
      JAGADISH BHATTA 2 tháng trước

When HAL says it is a 4.5 generation aircraft why are you hellbent on saying it is 3rd gen just and go google it 🤦

This isn't about the actual aircraft. It's more about u support us we will support you. By buying aircraft from India helps India's development of new technology. And it helps to strengthen ties. India could be the new industry giant. USA is looking at new less hostile markets than china. Alot of Chinese industry is moving out of china. To Vietnam as we speak. And if India was dropped it's un reasonable distrust of the west we could work together.

Unreasonable distrust isn't it. No it is reasonable. See what america has done to us in history and see how indian problems are being criticized by your news channels and even military cheif while you guys are too not in the lecturer spot as u guys also has many human rights issues. F16 pacage to a hostile neighbour who only has us to mainly fight isn't those reasonable enough
