Excellent tips and tricks. Just ordered a table from them so I'm watching all sorts of videos on it. I like all your modifications, they just make sense. Not sure about the water circulation purpose, but I'm guessing the water gets hot local to the cut area. Would it make sense to put a filter on that water loop? Or maybe use the pump to drain/fill the table for cleaning?

I was going to put a filter, but figured it would get plugged way to fast... Been running this way for years with no major issues...

You sound very knowledgeable about CNCing. I'm not a welder and I have no CNC experience but I have lots of ideas for products that I could make with a CNC including some heavy thick steel products up to 1". Could you offer any suggestions or insights as to where to begin ?

Not really.. I started in to my mechanical engineering background at age 18... I am now 49... Just start at one small area and expand upon it..

What was the thread pitch you used to adapt the grease zerks to do the remote greasing?

Fine cut swirl ring is only for hand cutting. Mechanised uses the regular one. Per. Jim Colt. I was using one too.. but the regular one flows better.

I was getting a lot of build up of hot metal slag on the tip as it was cutting... The course swirl ring seems to move the higher flow of air and keep that much cleaner...

At the time of this video I was playing with fine... What I have found to work well is 45-amp fine cut consumables with course cut swirl ring... That combo work s great... I have been running this way since last June... I also relayed this info to ArcLight.. I run the table about 10-hrs a week on average...
